Day 1: Drive to Liidlii Kue (Fort Simpson) from Hay River, Fort Smith, Yellowknife, Fort Providence or Fort Liard and enjoy our beautiful scenery and wildlife. If you are travling from Yellowknife or Fort Providence you can cross the famous “Dehcho Bridge” that spans across the mighty Dehcho (Mackenzie River). Be thrilled by various wildlife that can be seen on all these routes including bison, bears, wolves, foxes, caribou and moose. Check out the local Visitor Center for the guided and self-guided walking tours that you can complete free of charge at various times throughout your stay.

Day 2: Spend your day flying through Nahanni National Park with two or three stop in the Mackenzie Mountains. Flightseeing is one of the best ways to experience the Nahanni National Park Reserve’s diverse landscape. Your pilot will share with you the wonders and stories of this beautiful mountain range and its’ glorious canyons.
Your stop at Virginia Falls is sure to shock you where Parks Canada Heritage Interpreters will greet you and lead you on a guided walk to a falls viewpoint where the Sluicebox Rapids roil above Náįlįcho. Then participate in a Dene ceremony above the falls.
You will then re rise out from the mist of the falls upriver, experiencing aerial view of the Ragged Range and Glacier Lake, where you may land for photo opportunities of this unique landscape.
Day 3: Create your own custom Dene cultural experience based on your group. Guides provided by Liidlii Kue First Nation. If you are interested in art, history, on-the land skills, traditional medicine or outdoor activities, our experienced guides can create a tailored experience for you. Activity type and length can be customised to your stay in Liidlii Kue.

Some free things people can do in our community to fill the time between activities include walking the Great trail loop,the historical walking tour, going hiking, go to the beach, engage in other water activities, and near-by day trips to waterfalls or Territorial Parks.
